Join Rochester Rotary in celebrating law enforcement at the Annual Law Day Luncheon and presentation of the Annual Henry H. Jenson Memorial Award on Tuesday, May 26th. We will be holding this no-cost luncheon at the Hyatt Regency Rochester from 12:00 – 1:30 pm.

Deputy Chief Henry H. Jensen had two main loves, Rochester Rotary Club and the Rochester Police Department. He was appointed to the Department in 1936. In 1962 he was appointed Executive Deputy Chief. Henry was an Honorary Member of Rochester Rotary from 1947 until his passing. He is a recipient of the Club’s Rotary Award, the oldest civic award in Rochester.

This year marks the twenty-fourth annual presentation of the Chief Henry H. Jensen Memorial Award, and recognition of the Rochester Police Department. Upon his passing, Mr. Jensen bequeathed a gift to the Rochester Rotary Charitable Trusts, Inc. in memory of his wife, Dorothy. He designated that an appropriate award be presented to one of the Rochester Police Department’s “unsung heroes”.
