Finger Lakes Reds: A second look.
When we think of the Finger Lakes wine region, the first thing that comes to mind is Riesling, aromatic whites, and sparkling wines.
But what about the reds? As a region, the Finger Lakes holds a wide diversity of red grapes planted under vine, and have roots connected to historic origins in France, Northern Italy, Austria, Germany, & even the Republic of Georgia. Red wine production and winemaking has come a long way in the last 15 years, and deserves a second look. Better yet, another taste.
Join us at Locust Hill Country Club on Tuesday, March 17th to hear from Finger Lakes Native, Thera Clark. From 2020-2024, Thera served as the Resident Sommelier at Standing Stone Vineyards and at Hermann J. Wiemer, where she spearheaded The Library. Thrilled to bring her broad knowledge and love of wine back to the region, Thera now works with local restaurants and chefs, and teaches at New York Kitchen & Forge Wine Cellars. Thera holds the WSET Level 3 Certificate.
The meeting will start promptly at 11:45 am to accommodate the Annual Meeting of the Membership
