He graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Aerospace Engineering.  After working for McDonnell Douglas Corporation as a Flight Test Engineer\, and before becoming an attorney\, he was a charter pilot. As an aviation attorney\, he has developed a niche practice defending pilots\, mechanics\, and aircraft parts manufacturers after an accident.
