SUMMARY:Tuesday Luncheon Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Oak Hill to hear from Ellie Rusling\, CEO of MictoEra Power. MicroEra Power envisions an on-site thermal energy storage system to decarbonize buildings\, enhance the performance of heating and cooling systems\, support grid resiliency and increased use of renewable energies. \nBe cool\, be hot\, be green!\nIn the transition to a renewable-intensive grid\, there is a huge need for storage. While lithium batteries and hydrogen/fuel cells are more prominent in news\, thermal energy storage for buildings is a safe\, efficient\, long-life alternative.Thermal energy storage is a no-compromise way to manage heating and cooling in buildings\, while significantly reducing peak electric costs\, which drive up to 50% of monthly energy costs for commercial and industrial buildings. What role does a startup in Rochester play in innovating the future of heating and cooling commercial buildings? Come join us for lunch and a candid insight to the startup journey of MicroEra Power — thinking and innovating for the future! \n  \nIf you are planning on attending this luncheon please use the form below to sign up. \n

SUMMARY:B2B GRE Economic Gardening Discussion
DESCRIPTION:  \nMatt Hurlbutt\, GRE president and CEO\, and  Kate Daily\, Managing Director of Business Development will be holding a discussion on The Greater Rochester Enterprise Economic Gardening program on Thursday\, November 17th at 9:30 am via Zoom. \nGreater Rochester Enterprise (GRE) is a not-for-profit economic development organization dedicated to improving economic performance in the region. \nThe GRE Economic Gardening program fosters business growth by assisting second-stage companies poised for continued growth and expansion. Second stage companies are typically privately held firms with 10 to 99 employees and $1 million to $50 million in sales and are proven job generators. They have survived the start-up phase and generally have a small executive staff. Second-stage companies represent 15% of the companies in a typical metropolitan statistical area and 40% of the jobs. \nThe GRE Economic Gardening program fills a need to help these companies accelerate their growth by providing CEOs with information necessary to make strategic decisions regarding entering new markets\, launching new products\, strategic alliances\, increase sales\, all of which are more important after COVID. GRE works with the National Center for Economic Gardening to connect participating companies to technical experts who help companies identify qualified sales leads; facilitate targeted marketing using geographic information systems; review core strategies for niche market opportunities to maximize revenue potential; examine the use of social media to maximize branding; and improve search engine optimization \nClick here for more information \nUse the form below to sign and receive the zoom link

SUMMARY:Tuesday Luncheon Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Locust Hill Country Club for another installment of our “Made in Rochester” series. This week we will be joined by Trey Socash\, Vice President of Bears Playgrounds\, nature-inspired playgrounds\, and other products that enhance children’s environments. \nTrey Socash grew up in the Adirondacks\, living in a log home in Old Forge\, NY with his parents and three siblings. He went on to receive his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at The University of Rochester. \nWith the combination of his passion for the outdoors and his background in mechanical engineering\, Trey took a role as office manager at Bears Playgrounds starting in 2013. He worked on the day to day operations of the business\, as well as playground design. Today\, Trey is the Vice president of Bears playgrounds\, continuing to help grow their business under their mission statement: \n“to create fantastic\, nature inspired playgrounds and other products which enhance children’s environments.” \nBears Playgrounds designs\, manufactures and installs nature-inspired\, cedar log playgrounds across the US\, Canada and beyond. Every playground is made custom to order\, using whole round logs. \nWith our playgrounds\, we have created a balance between the innocent\, natural adventure of playing in the forest and the structure and safety required by today’s standards for children’s spaces. Our bold\, strong and built to last architecture beautifies children’s spaces\, while capturing a child’s imagination. Our nature inspired products and natural materials help stimulate a child’s enthusiasm for nature. In short\, our products facilitate learning\, create opportunities for exercise\, help build social skills and help provide a unique connection to the great outdoors. \n  \nIf you plan on attending this luncheon please use the form below to sign up. \nOops!
