SUMMARY:DEI Breakfast Briefing Series
DESCRIPTION:As a Club\, Rochester Rotary strives to create and maintain an experience for members and participants that reflects our fundamental core values of service\, fellowship\, diversity\, integrity\, and leadership; empowers people to contribute at their fullest potential and celebrates people as they are to align with our commitment to foster a diverse\, equitable\, and inclusive environment for all.  DEI educational sessions provide ongoing competency-building through education\, practice\, reflection\, and intentionality. This strengthens our Club\, creates an opportunity for participants to incorporate the learning in their businesses\, and paves the way for attracting new members.    \n  \nRegister for our next quarterly educational session: \n  \nCreating Inclusive Environments — Wednesday\, July 13th at 8:00AM (via Zoom) \nDiversity isn’t the same as inclusivity. Simply put\, diversity is all about the differences people bring to the space they’re in. Valuing who people are\, the ideas they bring\, and the way they think that can challenge us and help us grow is what inclusion is all about. Join us to learn how to reap rewards in creativity and innovation\, a strong culture and improved performance\, and more. \n  \nPlease use the form below to sign up for this session:

SUMMARY:Tuesday Luncheon Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Being What I Couldn’t See\n  \nJoin us at Oak Hill Country Club on June 14th at noon to hear from Amal Elhelw\, Multimedia Journalist for WORC-TV. Amal will talk about how the journey of a Muslim-American woman in broadcast media is only a small piece of a paradigm shift in how we approach telling local stories to represent a wider range of viewers. \nAmal Elhelw is a Rochester native and Multimedia Journalist for WROC-TV\, a CBS affiliate TV station. As an Egyptian-American and daughter of an immigrant\, Amal is working to provide a sense of representation that is lacking in local news while living her dream of telling unique and powerful stories that matter to the community she calls home. \n  \nIf you are planning on attending this luncheon please use the form below to sign up:
