SUMMARY:Tuesday Luncheon Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Join us at noon at Oak Hill Country Club for a political forum with La’Ron Singletary and Joe Morelle\, moderated by Adam Chodak. You must be a Rochester Rotarian or guest of a Rochester Rotarian to attend. We will not be recording this meeting. \nLa’Ron Singletary was born and raised in Rochester\, New York and is a graduate of the Rochester City School District.  Growing up\, La’Ron was taught that hard work\, plus sacrifice\, would equate to success.  Education was important in the Singletary household. However\, it was also understood that entering a vocation after high school was just as important as he and his sibling began to navigate adulthood.  The dream of his parents were to give their children a better chance at the future\, while striving to leave future generations better than the current. \nJoe Morelle was born and raised in Upstate New York and has lived in the same Irondequoit neighborhood for most of his life. The son of a Korean war veteran and lifelong Plumbers and Pipefitters union member\, Joe learned early on from his parents the value of hard work and the principles of honesty and integrity. These ideals led him to pursue public service\, where he has represented our community first in the County Legislature\, then in the New York State Assembly as Majority Leader\, and now in the United States House of Representatives where he serves on the Budget\, Education and Labor\, and Rules committees. \n  \nYou must have made a reservation to attend. Please call the Rochester Rotary Office at 585-546-7435 to see if there is room available. \n  \nThis meeting is open to Rochester Rotarians and their guests only.

SUMMARY:Rochester Museum and Science Center Tour
DESCRIPTION:Tour the Rochester Museum and Science Center on Thursday\, September 15th at 4:30 pm. \n  \nOn April 8\, 2024\, Rochester\, New York will experience a total solar eclipse. Our region sits directly in the path of totality and will experience 3 minutes and 38 seconds of complete totality! \n  \nBased on observations from the 2017 eclipse\, conservative estimates expect Rochester to welcome at least 375\,000 visitors to the area for the eclipse in addition to the 1.1 million residents across the Greater Rochester Region. \n  \nSince 2019\, the RMSC has been co-leading a regional Eclipse Task Force with local partners to ensure that the entire region can meet the incredible demand and opportunities associated with this once-in-a-lifetime event. The task force has grown to over 200 members representing every sector\, including restaurants\, parks\, universities\, museums\, music venues\, airports\, and more\, creating a knowledgeable community that can offer rich experiences for all who come. \n  \nJoin the Rochester Rotary B2B Committee at the RMSC Planetarium on September 15th\, 2022 at 4:30 PM to learn more about the upcoming eclipse\, the regional efforts\, what the RMSC is planning\, and how you can get involved at the upcoming meeting from Hillary Olsen\, the CEO & President of the RMSC\, and Dan Schneiderman\, the RMSC Eclipse Partnership Coordinator. \nCheck out the eclipse here! \n  \nIf you are interested in attending please fill out the form below. SUMMARY:Tuesday Luncheon Meeting

Join us for a discussion with Genevieve Norris-Brown (6th generation at Seabreeze\, founded 1879)\, Trevor Holly (4th generation at Sage Rutty\, founded 1915) Jack Doyle (6th generation at Doyle Security\, founded 1919) and Chelsea Conway (4th generation at Conway Beam\, founded 1951). Moderated by Rotarian Andrew Brady (2nd generation at The XLR8 Team\, founded 1996). \n\nChelsea Conway – 4th Generation CEO of Conway Beam Truck Group and Big Sky Luxury Vacations.\nTrevor Holly- 4th generation of family leadership at Sage Rutty.\nGenevieve Norris-Brown is part of the 6th generation of Seabreeze amusement park.
