DESCRIPTION:Tour the Rochester Museum and Science Center on Thursday\, September 15th at 4:30 pm. \n  \nOn April 8\, 2024\, Rochester\, New York will experience a total solar eclipse. Our region sits directly in the path of totality and will experience 3 minutes and 38 seconds of complete totality! \n  \nBased on observations from the 2017 eclipse\, conservative estimates expect Rochester to welcome at least 375\,000 visitors to the area for the eclipse in addition to the 1.1 million residents across the Greater Rochester Region. \n  \nSince 2019\, the RMSC has been co-leading a regional Eclipse Task Force with local partners to ensure that the entire region can meet the incredible demand and opportunities associated with this once-in-a-lifetime event. The task force has grown to over 200 members representing every sector\, including restaurants\, parks\, universities\, museums\, music venues\, airports\, and more\, creating a knowledgeable community that can offer rich experiences for all who come. \n  \nJoin the Rochester Rotary B2B Committee at the RMSC Planetarium on September 15th\, 2022 at 4:30 PM to learn more about the upcoming eclipse\, the regional efforts\, what the RMSC is planning\, and how you can get involved at the upcoming meeting from Hillary Olsen\, the CEO & President of the RMSC\, and Dan Schneiderman\, the RMSC Eclipse Partnership Coordinator. \nCheck out the eclipse here!  \n  \nIf you are interested in attending please fill out the form below. DESCRIPTION:Sport-related concussions: How are they diagnosed\, treated and prevented?\nJoin us at Oak Hill Country Club at noon on Tuesday\, August 30th to hear from Dr. Jeff Bazarian\, an emergency physician. Dr. Bazarian will discuss current concepts in concussion management including blood testing\, brain scanning\, hyperbaric oxygen\, nutritional supplements\, brain cooling\, and return to play protocols. \nDr. Bazarian is an emergency physician with an active concussion clinic and research program. He has served on several traumatic brain injury-related task forces and panels for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention\, the National Institutes of Health\, the National Science Foundation\, and the Institute of Medicine. DESCRIPTION:Meet Geva Theatre Center’s New Artistic Director\, Elizabeth Williamson. Join us at noon at Oak Hill Country Club as Elizabeth Williamson introduces herself and then speak a bit about her background. She will also talk about Geva’s 50th Anniversary Season and the vision for the company’s future. \nElizabeth Williamson is internationally known for her work developing and premiering major new plays and musicals\, which have won multiple awards including the Olivier Award for Best Play\, the Tony Awards for Best Musical and Best Play\, and Critics Circle\, Evening Standard\, GLAAD\, and Drama Desk Awards for Best Play. She has worked on Broadway\, in London’s West End\, Off-Broadway\, regionally and internationally.
