SUMMARY:Tuesday Luncheon Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Comedy @ The Carlson to hear from Patricia Leva\, President of Junior Achievement of Central Upstate NY. Patricia will be presenting ” Connecting Learning with Earning – The Paychecx Junior Achievement Discovery Center.” \nWhen adults are asked\, “What’s the one thing you wished you learned in school?”  many respond with “how to manage money”\, “how to do my taxes”\, “how to start a business”\, or some other critical life skill. \nIn January 2024\, the innovative Paychex Junior Achievement Discovery Center opened its doors for middle and high school students\, providing a unique and immersive learning environment for youth to practice adult life and explore our regional economy. \nWith more than 40 such centers operating throughout the Country\, this one is the first of its kind in New York State.  Learn how this collaborative community asset\, supported by hundreds of volunteers\,  is working to keep our Region growing and strong in the years to come. \n  \nWe ask that you please register by noon on Friday before the luncheon so we can provide an accurate food count to our new venue. If you register after Friday\, we can not guarantee you a meal.  \nPlease use the form below to register:

SUMMARY:Tuesday Luncheon Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Comedy @ The Carlson to hear guest speaker Jamie Druckman\, Martin Brewer Anderson Professor of Political Science at the University of Rochester present “Partisan Hostility and American Democracy: Explaining Political Divisions.” \nThe rise of partisan animosity—the tendency of Democrats and Republicans to dislike and distrust one another—is one of the most notable developments of 21st century American politics. I will discuss how animus influences a wide range of political behaviors including issue positions\, evaluations of political leaders\, support for compromise\, and support for democratic norms. That said\, I will also explain why the growth of partisan animosity does not inevitably mean that democracy is eroding. \n  \nUse the form below to sign up.

DESCRIPTION:Join us at Oak Hill Country Club for a panel discussion on the upcoming Buffalo Bills Season! Thad Brown\, Scott Pitoniak and Tim Cook will be presenting to our club. \n  \nCan the Bills win the Super Bowl after a dramatic roster makeover? \nSuperstar quarterback Josh Allen is back and in the prime of his career at age 28\, but the Buffalo Bills underwent some dramatic roster changes in the off-season\, with the departure of standouts such as record-setting wide receiver Stefon Diggs\, reliable center Mitch Morse\, and the best safety tandem in franchise history\, Jordan Poyer and Micha Hyde.
