Now representing New York’s 25th District in Congress\, he serves on the House Appropriations Committee and as the Top Democrat on the House Administration Committee\, fighting to expand healthcare\, protect women’s reproductive rights\, reduce gun violence\, and create economic opportunities for the greater Rochester community. \nCongressional candidate Gregg Sadwick is a lifelong resident of Monroe County\, except for the years he proudly served as an Officer in the United States Navy.   Upon his return to the area\, he became involved in various small businesses in different industries where he would end up with equity positions based on his performance and the trust he established with stakeholders.  His most recent ventures include owning and operating two local businesses that employ over 100 people\, one of which he and his son started together six years ago.  Sadwick has been an active member of the Greece Rotary Club for over 20 years serving as its President during the 2022-23 Rotary year.  A graduate of St. John Fisher University\, and receiving his MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology\, he currently resides in Penfield to be closer to his two sons as they start their families. \n  \nWe anticipate a large attendance for this luncheon. DESCRIPTION:We are wrapping up our luncheons at Oak Hill Country Club with a presentation from Tom Riggio\, Co- Owner of Craft Cannery as he presents ” How to Scale & Sell A Brand” \nTom Riggio has been a major equity shareholder\, founding member\, and/or senior leader with Vitamin Water\, Bark Thins\, Pirate’s Booty\, Momeez Choice\, and several other businesses\, most of which have gone on to be acquired by major food & beverage brands.  Tom will share a few of those stories\, including seeing Vitamin Water go from the start-up phase to the negotiation table with Coca Cola as well as finding a manufacturer with a unique idea for a chocolate snack that would lead to a sale to Hershey.  Tom will share his insights on how businesses scale\, the trials and tribulations involved in growing\, and how they ultimately put themselves in a position to be acquired. \nYou do not want to miss out on this meeting! \n  \nIf you plan to attend this meeting please use the form below to sign up:

Thad Brown\, Scott Pitoniak and Tim Cook will be presenting to our club. \n  \nCan the Bills win the Super Bowl after a dramatic roster makeover? \nSuperstar quarterback Josh Allen is back and in the prime of his career at age 28\, but the Buffalo Bills underwent some dramatic roster changes in the off-season\, with the departure of standouts such as record-setting wide receiver Stefon Diggs\, reliable center Mitch Morse\, and the best safety tandem in franchise history\, Jordan Poyer and Micha Hyde. But many talented players return and it will be interesting to see their evolution\, as well of the performances of some rookie and free-agent newcomers.

DESCRIPTION:Join us at Oak Hill Country Club with guest speaker Kitty Van Bortel\, Founder and owner of the Van Bortel Group. \nShe began her career as a young woman facing adversity in the male-dominated car business\, but that didn’t stop her from pursuing career goals. Kitty persevered with determination\, drive\, and her ability to take care of customers. She proved that she could be a sales manager but eventually saw through the glass ceiling and knew the only way to continue her pursuit of professional growth was to do it on her own. \nIn 1985\, with an investment of only $500\, Kitty began her used car dealership in the front yard of a rented house on Route 96 in Victor\, NY.  In 1991\, Kitty opened the doors to Van Bortel Subaru\, which soon became one of the largest Subaru retailers in the nation.

DESCRIPTION:Giovanni LiDestri\, CEO of LiDestri Food and Drink will be presenting to our club on Tuesday\, July 16th at Oak Hill Country Club. \nGiovanni will be presenting “The Secret Sauce” the story of how LiDestri became a USDA Certified Food Plant. \nLiDestri’s rich heritage dates back to its founding in 1975 as Cantisano Foods by Ralph Cantisano\, whose family previously founded and sold the Ragu Packing Company. By 1976\, LiDestri was being managed by its current owner\, Giovanni LiDestri\, whom Cantisano selected as his protégé from the Ragu production floor.
