Our next program is on Wednesday\, April 9th\, at 8:00 a.m. via Zoom. \nDEI Passes the Rotary 4-way Test presented by Rochester Rotary Club DEI Co-Chairs David Powe and Tom Mitchell. \nRotary International adopted a Code of Conduct on Diversity\, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and a framework for its implementation in 2021. This code of conduct is consistent with Rotary’s long-standing values\, programs\, and services for supporting in the areas such as public health\, conflict prevention\, literacy & education\, economic development and protecting the environment. There is an effort with the current administration to end government\, non-profit\, and private organizations commitment to DEI initiatives\, policies and programs. The Rochester Rotary DEI committee co-chairs David Powe and Tom Mitchell have examined these efforts and challenges and have provided an argument to support Rotary’s commitment to Diversity\, Equity and Inclusion. This 1-hour presentation will include background on the issues\, facts and personal stories.
