SUMMARY:B2B Tour - L3 Harris Customer Experience Center
DESCRIPTION:The B2B committee will take us on a tour of the L3 Harris Customer Experience Center\, located at the Massari Building\, 29 Humboldt Street\, Rochester\, NY 14610 on Thursday\, September 18th. (Waiting for time confirmation) \nThe Customer Experience Center (CEC) is a state-of-the-art product exhibit showcasing a nearly full suite of L3Harris Tactical Communications radio products. Among the radios on display are the AN/PRC-163 Multi-channel Handheld Radio and the RF-7850D Multi-channel Modular System.  \nEvery month\, the CEC accommodates a variety of visitors and delegations – from internal executives and critical B2B partners as well as domestic and foreign defense liaisons. \nVisitors enjoy a guided\, hands-on tour of the industry-leading radio products that make the Tactical Communications segment the most consistently valuable component of L3Harris Communication Systems – both in terms of revenue and global operational impact. \nSeveral interactive monitors within the CEC provide a top-down view of a variety of common Concepts of Operation (CONOP) for how a particular product or system of products are deployed in the field. \nThis tour covers more than physical radio hardware\, we’ll also aim to discuss: \n\nTypical product lifecycle\nProduct accessories\nHow our Type 1 & Type 3 waveform portfolios are purposefully engineered to meet a variety of customer use cases\nCurrent operational impact of our products\nForward-looking international product family roadmap and how the current competitive landscape is shaping innovation\nQ&A\n\nRegistration is closed!

SUMMARY:Peace Pole Dedication Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to share that the August 2024 issue of Rotary Magazine features an inspiring article about the Peace Pole project championed by Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick. This global initiative beautifully reflects our shared commitment to building a culture of peace and understanding across borders. \nA Peace Pole is more than just a monument—it’s a beacon of hope\, displaying the heartfelt message\, “May Peace Prevail on Earth\,” in the language of its host country and several others. Our District’s Peace Pole will proudly feature this message in 14 different languages\, each representing and honoring our 14 inbound Youth Exchange students for Rotary Year 2024-25. Each language and flag is a tribute to the rich diversity and unity that Rotary stands for. \nWith over 250\,000 Peace Poles standing as monuments to peace in every country around the globe\, each one serves as an affirmation of our commitment to harmony\, understanding\, and friendship among all people. The message\, authored by Masahisa Goi of Japan after the tragedies of Hiroshima and Nagasaki\, has become a universal call for peace. \nYou’re Invited! \nThe Rochester Rotary International Service Committee is excited to bring this vision to life in our own community! We invite you\, your family\, and your friends to join us for a special Peace Pole Dedication Ceremony at our beloved Sunshine Camp: \nDate: Saturday\, June 14th \nTime: 10:00 AM \nLocation: Sunshine Camp \nLet’s come together as Rotarians and friends to celebrate this powerful symbol of peace. Help us welcome District Governor Dave and Ann DeMers as they preside over the ceremony. This is a wonderful opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to “Service Above Self” and to inspire unity among people of all cultures\, backgrounds\, and beliefs. \nLet’s make this a memorable event—your presence will make all the difference! \nMay Peace Prevail on Earth.

SUMMARY:Joe Cicero Art Show
DESCRIPTION:Join Rochester Rotarian Joe Cicero at Artisan Works on Tuesday\, June 10th\, from 6 – 8 pm as he presents Art That Heals Through Chaos \nLight appetizers and a cash bar will be available. \nJoe Cicero is an artist based in Rochester\, NY\, who uses his work as a form of healing and reflection.
