Together\, the farms represent a multi-generational family business that has grown and modernized over the years while remaining deeply connected to agriculture and the local community. \nAt Bonna Terra\, the focus is on the milking herd. During our tour\, we’ll see the barns and milking operation firsthand\, including Bonna Terra’s impressive 80-stall rotary milking center\, where up to 80 cows can be milked at one time. We’ll learn how the farm manages a large dairy herd\, the systems and equipment involved in daily operations\, and how today’s dairy farms balance efficiency\, animal care\, workforce needs\, and the demands of producing milk on a large scale. \nThere’s also a strong local connection between Bonna Terra and the dairy products many of us already have in our refrigerators.
