SUMMARY:B2B GRE Economic Gardening Discussion
DESCRIPTION:  \nMatt Hurlbutt\, GRE president and CEO\, and  Kate Daily\, Managing Director of Business Development will be holding a discussion on The Greater Rochester Enterprise Economic Gardening program on Thursday\, November 17th at 9:30 am via Zoom. \nGreater Rochester Enterprise (GRE) is a not-for-profit economic development organization dedicated to improving economic performance in the region. \nThe GRE Economic Gardening program fosters business growth by assisting second-stage companies poised for continued growth and expansion. Second stage companies are typically privately held firms with 10 to 99 employees and $1 million to $50 million in sales and are proven job generators. They have survived the start-up phase and generally have a small executive staff. Second-stage companies represent 15% of the companies in a typical metropolitan statistical area and 40% of the jobs. \nThe GRE Economic Gardening program fills a need to help these companies accelerate their growth by providing CEOs with information necessary to make strategic decisions regarding entering new markets\, launching new products\, strategic alliances\, increase sales\, all of which are more important after COVID. GRE works with the National Center for Economic Gardening to connect participating companies to technical experts who help companies identify qualified sales leads; facilitate targeted marketing using geographic information systems; review core strategies for niche market opportunities to maximize revenue potential; examine the use of social media to maximize branding; and improve search engine optimization \nClick here for more information \nUse the form below to sign and receive the zoom link

SUMMARY:DEI Breakfast Briefing
DESCRIPTION:The DEI Committee invites you to the Q4 Breakfast Briefing\, Moving from Equality to Equity. Whereas diversity refers to all the many ways that people differ\, equality is giving individuals or groups of people the same thing in the same way. Equity recognizes that each person has different circumstances and allocates resources and opportunities in a way that creates fair access\, opportunity\, and advancement for all people while at the same time striving to identify and eliminate barriers. \n  \nJoin us for an informative discussion led by Series facilitator\, Kesha Carter\, Chief Diversity Officer at Coordinated Care Services\, Inc. on equitable practices that ‘level the playing field’ so that fairness happens along the path to success. \n  \nPlease use the form below to sign up! \n  \n\n  \nAs a Club\, Rochester Rotary strives to create and maintain an experience for members and participants that reflects our fundamental core values of service\, fellowship\, diversity\, integrity\, and leadership\, empowers people to contribute at their fullest potential\, and celebrates people as they are to foster a diverse\, equitable\, and inclusive environment for all. DEI educational sessions provide ongoing competency-building through education\, practice\, reflection\, and intentionality. This strengthens our Club\, creates an opportunity for participants to incorporate the learning in their businesses\, and paves the way for attracting new members

SUMMARY:DEI Breakfast Briefing
DESCRIPTION:Join us for  Understanding Intersectionality\, on Wednesday\, April 20th \, 7:30 – 8:30AM via Zoom with Kesha Carter\, Chief Diversity Office of Coordinated Care Services. \n  \nDifferent kinds of prejudice can be amplified in different ways when put together. It shows up in a complex\, cumulative manner when the effects of different forms of discrimination combine\, overlap\, or “intersect”.  There is oppression that exists in isolation and understanding who they overlap for different identities is important in understanding how we advocate differently. \n  \nAs a Club in accordance with the Rotary International Code of Conduct\, Rochester Rotary strives to create and maintain an experience for members and participants that reflects our fundamental values\, empowers people to contribute at their fullest potential\, and celebrates people as they are. Our core values — service\, fellowship\, diversity\, integrity\, and leadership — align with our commitment to foster a diverse\, equitable\, and inclusive environment for all. \n  \nMark Your Calendar for Q3 & Q4 programs: \n  \nQ3 – July 20           Creating Inclusive Environments \nQ4 – October 19   Moving from Equality to Equity \n  \n
